CAKE IN A MUG

RECIPES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE MARTHA STEWART ONLY SMARTER AND BETTER.

You know all about those times when you really want a piece of chocolate cake but you don't want to make a big cake to have sitting around tempting you and you can't really justify going to the store and actually buying a cake, so what do you do? Well, have I got a deal for you! This is the answer to your chocolate cake prayers. You can make it in five minutes or less and it's absolutely delicious. One is enough to two if you're feeling especially generous, but you can eat the whole thing yourself if no one is around to watch you. You will definitely thank me for this one because it's practically fool-proof and it will soothe the savage beast and solve your chocolate cravings all in one little mug. Here's how you do it:
In a medium-size mug put:
4 T. Bisquick
4 T. cocoa
3 T. sugar
Mix together, then add:
3 T. oil
3 T. milk
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 T. miniature chocolate chips (optional)

1. Start with a mug. Use a cute one since you'll want it to look as good as it tastes.

2. Spray the inside of the mug with Pam so your cake won't stick.

3. Add the dry ingredients and mix well.

4. Add the egg, oil, milk and vanilla. (And chocolate chips if you want. I recommend them.)

5. Now put it in the microwave on a small saucer and cook for 3 minutes at 50% power. Don't worry if it runs over the edge of the mug. That will just help to give it character.

6. You can put anything on top of it that you want. I recommend this amazing glaze by Duncan Hines. It's called "Amazing Glazes."

7. Then add some whipped cream and nuts and voila! You have a masterpiece and it only took you five minutes. Now hurry and eat it before someone comes in and discovers what you've got and wants you to make another one. Enjoy!
