PEACH PINEAPPLE WALNUT DIP

RECIPES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE MARTHA STEWART ONLY SMARTER AND BETTER.

Now, I know that this recipe is probably a no-brainer and you're wondering why it would even be on this blog, but sometimes you just need to make something that requires almost no thought and yet turns out to be surprisingly and even amazingly good--so good, in fact, that you'll wonder why you never thought of it yourself. Well, that's what I'm here for--to think of these things for you. This is the time of year when fresh fruit is abundant and it's fun to think of different ways of using it. Peaches just happen to be my favorite fruit and so it's no surprise that I would include them in this dip. This is something you can put together and whip out when you need something fast and reliable that almost everyone can eat and will love. if you have anyone with an aversion to walnuts, you can leave them out but they do add a lot to the dip and I would hate to think of it without them.
So here's how you do it:

1 8oz. package cream cheese, softened
1/2 C. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 small can crushed pineapple
2 fresh peaches, chopped
1/2 tsp. seasoning salt
crackers or something to use for dipping

1. Add chopped walnuts and pineapple to softened cream cheese. Mix well.

2. Chop up peaches and fold into cream cheese mixture. Add seasoning. Chill to harden before serving.

3. Put in your prettiest bowl and add crackers or wafers or whatever you want to dip it with.
Now sit back and relax. You've earned it! Serves 4-6. Enjoy!
